Oman Itinerary

Day 1

 Arrival in Muscat (City & Seaside)

Breakfast: Arrive in Muscat and enjoy a relaxed morning meal at your hotel.

Visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest in the world with a Swarovski crystal chandelier and Persian carpet.

Stroll along Mutrah Corniche and dive into Mutrah Souq for spices, incense, and Omani silver.

Lunch: Freshly grilled kingfish or hammour at a local seafood café by the Corniche.

Afternoon visit to the Al Jalali and Al Mirani Forts (16th century Portuguese forts guarding Muscat Bay).

Dinner: Fine dining at the Royal Opera House complex or Al Angham restaurant for authentic Omani dishes (shuwa, majboos).

Overnight in Muscat.

Day 2

Muscat Highlights & Coastline

Breakfast: At hotel (Omani halwa, dates, khubz bread with honey).

Visit the Royal Opera House Muscat and the National Museum.

Stop at Al Alam Palace (the Sultan’s ceremonial palace) for photos.

Lunch: Lebanese or Omani mezze at Kargeen Café in a shaded garden.

Afternoon: Relax at Qantab Beach or take a dhow cruise to see dolphins and coastal cliffs.

Dinner: Grilled seafood and traditional Omani soups at The Beach Restaurant (Shangri-La).

Overnight in Muscat.

Day 3

Nizwa & Bahla Fort

Breakfast: Early breakfast in Muscat.

Drive to Nizwa (2 hours). Explore Nizwa Fort (17th century, massive circular tower) and Nizwa Souq (daggers, pottery, dates).

Lunch: Camel biryani or lamb kabsa at a local restaurant in Nizwa.

Afternoon: Visit Bahla Fort (UNESCO World Heritage, oldest and largest fort in Oman) and Jabrin Castle (elegant interiors, painted ceilings).

Dinner: Mountain-style dinner at a resort in Jebel Akhdar (lamb slow-cooked with rosewater).

Overnight in Jebel Akhdar.

Day 4

Jebel Akhdar & Jebel Shams

Breakfast: Fresh mountain fruits, Omani bread, and strong qahwa coffee.

Explore the terraces of Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountain) with its pomegranate and rose gardens.

Lunch: Light mountain picnic with dates, bread, and laban yogurt drink.

Drive to Jebel Shams (The Grand Canyon of Arabia). Hike the Balcony Walk trail along dramatic cliffs.

Visit Misfat al Abriyeen, a traditional village with mud-brick houses and falaj irrigation.

Dinner: Home-cooked Omani meal at a local guesthouse or resort (rice, grilled goat, date desserts).

Overnight near the mountains.

Day 5

Wahiba Sands (Desert Adventure)

Breakfast: Mountain breakfast with honey, bread, and cheese.

En-route to the desert, stop at Wadi Bani Khalid for swimming in turquoise pools.

Lunch: Picnic under palm trees by the wadi (flatbread, hummus, fresh fruits).

Afternoon: Arrive at Wahiba Sands, enjoy a 4×4 dune-bashing ride, sandboarding, and camel rides.

Dinner: Bedouin-style barbecue at desert camp with grilled meats, rice, and sweet Omani halwa.

Overnight in desert tents under the stars.

Day 6

Sur & Ras al Jinz Turtle Reserve

Breakfast: Traditional desert breakfast (khubz rakhal bread, dates, honey).

Drive to Sur, famous for dhow-building. Visit the Sur Maritime Museum and Al Ayjah Lighthouse.

Lunch: Fish curry or kingfish steaks at a coastal restaurant in Sur.

Afternoon: Relax along the coast, then drive to Ras al Jinz Turtle Reserve.

Dinner: Buffet dinner at the reserve lodge.

Late evening: Guided walk to the beach to witness giant green turtles nesting and laying eggs.

Overnight at Ras al Jinz or Sur.

Day 7

Coastal Drive Back to Muscat

Breakfast: Coastal breakfast (bread, cheese, boiled eggs, fresh juice).

Stop at Wadi Shab for a hike and swim through emerald pools and caves.

Visit Bimmah Sinkhole, a spectacular natural water-filled crater.

Lunch: Local restaurant by Quriyat serving Omani fish curry and rice.

Afternoon: Scenic coastal drive back to Muscat.

Visit Nakhal Fort (impressive fort surrounded by date palms and hot springs).

Dinner: Farewell dinner in Muscat—choose between upscale dining at The Chedi or traditional Omani feast.

Overnight in Muscat / airport departure.
